Situated in the countryside amid a birch forest and cottages, and with its own golf course, Le Meridien Moscow Country Club is approximately 40 kilometres from central Moscow. The 131 guestrooms offer views of the surrounding countryside, and are decorated in cottage style with floral-print bedspreads, armchairs, and drapes. All rooms include air conditioning, Internet connections, minibars, and satellite television, while green and white tiled bathrooms have handheld showers and bathrobes.
The hotel offers several eateries, including a la carte dining in the Four Seasons with its covered winter garden; the Golf Restaurant, which overlooks the course; and lighter meals in the informal Sports Bar. With Russia's only 18-hole, professional level golf course (host to the Moscow Open) the hotel's premier attraction is golf, but it offers a host of alternative recreational activities for non-golfers. These include a swimming lake that freezes for skating in winter, indoor and outdoor tennis courts, football and basketball, squash, aerobics, fitness equipment, and cross-country skiing. Down by the lake, there is a free-standing rock-climbing wall, while a pool table and arcade car-racing games can be found in the basement of the main recreation building. Those who prefer to take it easy enjoy use of the hotel's saunas, including Turkish bath, Finnish sauna, and Russian-style banya. Massage and beauty treatments are provided in the full-service spa and Guerlain Beauty Studio. An indoor swimming area includes a small pool for children - the pools are surrounded by floor-to-ceiling windows that open in summer and overlook the grounds. Childcare specialists provide all-day activities for children. A small shopping arcade sells fashion, books, and souvenirs. Shermetevo-2 Airport (MOW) is 35 kilometres from the hotel, a drive of around 45 minutes.
Visa Information: Some hotels can assist their guests to obtain a visa for entry to the Russian Federation. Hotels may charge a fee for this service. Guests may contact the Customer Support Centre to be put in touch with their hotel to arrange a visa. Hotels may in some instances refund visa assistance fees against the guests' hotel stay. If visa assistance is given and the reservation is subsequently cancelled then hotels may retain the cost of the first night's stay in addition to standard cancellation charges.
